Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV)

  • Automatically routed and positioned at the destination without requiring an operator.

  • Appropriate for frequent and repeated movement on set routes, and low to medium volume, medium to long distance random material flow operations.
  • Eliminates or reduces the use of manually or semi-operated material handling equipment.
  • Cuts down labour costs, increase plant floor safety, and eliminate product and equipment damage caused by human error.

The five main types of AGV are Tow AGV, Unit Load AGV, Assembly AGV, Light Load AGV and Fork AGV.
