Transport Equipment

The 4 major types of transport equipment are:

1. Cranes
Move material over variable path within a limited area and are able to handle more variety of products in terms of shapes and size.
JIB Crane . Bridge Crane . Stacker Crane . Gantry Crane

2. Conveyors
Move materials over a fixed path between specific points.
Light, Heavy Duty Slider . Gravity Conveyor . Slat Conveyor . Pallets and Drum Conveyor . Chain Conveyor

3. Industrial Trucks
Used for moving materials over variable path with no restricted areas.
Forklift Truck . Order Picker and Narrow-Aisle Reach Truck . Walkie Stacker . Pallet Jack . Hand Truck . Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) . Tow AGV and Unit Load AGV . Assembly AGV and Light Load AGV . Fork AGV

4. Manual / No Equipment
At times, materials can be transported manually without any equipment and the maximum recommended weight handled should not be more than 23kg (approximately 51 lbs). This is to prevent workers from suffering injuries.
